Kate Brown
Dramatherapist, EMDR Practitioner and Clinical Supervisor.
Since qualifying as a Dramatherapist in 2012 from the University of Derby, I have worked in many settings and gained a wealth of experience. My practice focuses on the psychological responses to trauma and has a caseload of therapeutic clients with varying needs and levels of trauma. My work includes crisis intervention for children who have experienced neglect, physical and sexual abuse and domestic violence.
I have developed and delivered innovative resilience and whole school wellbeing programmes, supported and trained staff as part of their Social, Emotional and Mental Health- SEMH provision. I currently work part-time in an NHS Trust, providing psychological assessment and therapeutic intervention using both Dramatherapy and EMDR practise to adults in the prison system. Within my private practise I work with children, teenagers and adults. I have much experience in working with attachment ruptures, complex trauma and behavioural needs.
